His story began with a deep-rooted devotion to his craft. During college, he double-majored in Daily Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering—laying the groundwork for a career that would blend science with practical impact. After graduating in 2002, he joined a research institution in Guangdong Province as a researcher, where he immersed himself in two core areas: daily chemical product R&D and plant extraction technology. For a decade, he worked in a laboratory that others might dismiss as monotonous; yet for him, this was where he built a rock-solid technical foundation—and where the seed of entrepreneurship took root: a dream to "turn scientific research into tangible, life-enhancing products." 

By 2010, that decade of accumulation erupted into action. YU.SHI made the bold choice to step out of his comfort zone and founded the Guangzhou Gaussberg Biochemical Research Center, channeling his 10 years of research into solving real-world challenges in the cosmetics industry. Simultaneously, he launched his first cosmetics factory—humble in its beginnings, with just 2 production lines and a team of over 20. But what the factory lacked in scale, it made up for in precision: every product bore his meticulous focus on technical excellence, laying the groundwork for GELAN’s future success. In just two years, the factory navigated its startup phase seamlessly and entered a golden era of growth, driven entirely by its uncompromising commitment to quality and innovation. 

2014 marked a new chapter in his second decade of entrepreneurship: the establishment of his second facility, Guangzhou Gelan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. By then, the team had evolved into a cohesive unit with mature technical capabilities and a streamlined collaborative system. Under YU.SHI’s leadership, the business underwent a transformative leap: from a single factory to an integrated "R&D + Production" service provider; from serving local clients to offering one-stop customization for global orders. This shift turned a "technology-focused workshop" into a full-fledged group enterprise—and in the process, the name "GELAN" became a recognizable and trusted brand in the daily chemical landscape.
